Tree Trimming
in Sulphur Springs, TX

Trimming, pruning, and canopy clearing — clear roofs, fences, and power lines.

Call (903) 951-0414

Tree trimming done well extends the life of a tree, keeps it shaped, and keeps limbs away from roof lines, power services, and structures. Done poorly — over-pruning, lion-tailing, topping — it weakens the tree and shortens its life. We don’t over-trim, even when asked.

Our standard residential trim raises the canopy so you can mow under it, clears limbs touching the house or hanging over the roof, and selectively thins for light and air movement — never more than 25% of live canopy in a single season for mature trees. Late winter (January–February) is the ideal trim window in our climate; clearance and storm-response trimming happens year-round. Limbs in actual contact with primary power lines stay with the utility — everything else we can handle.

Tree Trimming FAQs

01

When should trees be trimmed in East Texas?

For most deciduous trees, late winter (January–February) is ideal — the structure is visible and the tree heals before spring growth. Storm cleanup and clearance trimming happen year-round as needed.
02

How much can I cut off a tree without hurting it?

General rule: no more than 25% of the live canopy in a single year for mature trees. We won't over-trim a tree even if the customer asks — long-term tree health matters more than short-term convenience.
03

Can you raise the canopy so I can mow under it?

Yes — canopy raising (limbing up) is one of the most common trim jobs for residential properties. We'll take it to a height that lets you mow and still keeps the tree healthy.
04

My tree is near power lines. Will you trim it?

Limbs touching primary power lines are the utility company's responsibility — call them first. Limbs that aren't in contact but are close, or that touch service drops to your house, we can usually handle safely.
